Brandon Day at the Legislature: Every year, Brandon business owner, leaders and interested citizens take a bus to Pierre during the legislative session to remind the state legislators that Brandon is an up and coming community. This is a fun time to get to know others from Brandon, experience the legislative process, and brag up the town! For more information, contact the Chamber Office at (605)582-7400.
Legislative Coffees: The Chamber is pleased to sponsor at least 2 coffees on Saturday mornings during the legislative session. This is your opportunity to visit with District 10 legislators about your concerns and have your questions answered.
Candidate and Issue Forums: The Chamber, along with the Brandon Challenger, sponsor candidate and issue forums before elections. These are opportunities for the public to hear from candidates and ask questions before they go to vote.
Loyalty Day Parade: This annual parade is a favorite among locals and is open to one and all. Held the first Sunday in May at 2pm, the event brings people of all ages out to enjoy the show. Click here for a parade entry form.
Brandon Citywide Rummage Sale: Held on Mother's Day weekend in May. Homes all over Brandon bring out their best rummage for a weekend of treasure finding opportunities. For more information go to www.brandonrummages.com
McHardy Park Arts & Crafts Festival: Sponsored by the Chamber, the Brandon Edge, the Brandon Lions Club and the Brandon VFW, the Festival is held on the 4th Saturday in June in beautiful McHardy Park in Brandon. Nearly 100 vendors will gather amid the trees to sell everything from jewelry, to furniture to home décor. Food vendors and an entertainment stage make this a wonderful way to spend a Saturday. Hometown Days: The newest community event for Brandon, Hometown Days is held the first weekend in August. Events include a series of "Best in Brandon" Contests, an entertainment stage featuring a "Brandon Idol" Competition and the Brandon Family Games as well as other community events including a Tractor Pull sponsored by the Tractor Pull Association. Santa Stops: Many holiday events take place around Brandon in December. One of the most fun is a week of Santa Stops. For a small fee, Santa will visit your home to save you the frustration and effort of hauling the kids to the mall for pictures and a visit with Santa. Details are announced in November - sign up early to get the date and time you want.
Brandon Dodgeball Tournament: Held in the spring, this is a great time for adults and kids alike to put together a team to compete to be named “Brandon Dodgeball Champion”. Registrations are available from the Chamber office. Click here for a registration form. Click here for a waiver form.
Hog Wild Harley Raffle: A fundraiser for Chamber projects, buying a ticket for this raffle not only gets you a chance at a beautiful Harley Davidson Motorcycle, but gets you and a guest in to the exclusive Hog Wild Hog Raffle in August. This night of dancing, fun and prizes at the Holiday Inn in Brandon, is only open to ticket holders and their guest. The highlight of the evening is the drawing for the motorcycle. Ticket sales begin in May and continue until the limited number of tickets is gone or the drawing happens.
